Peter Burton has practised as a consultant for the past seven years during which he has conducted organisational reviews for organisations in the private sector, and in local and central government.
He has extensive experience at board level in both public and private companies. He was Chief Executive of the CASE Group plc and also Chairman of Chiltern Radio plc. He has served as a non-executive director in several organisations, including Costain Group plc and Foreign and Colonial Enterprise Trust plc.
He served as an elected member of a District Council for 12 years.
He is a chartered engineer and has a master's degree in Organisational Behaviour. His master's dissertation (1994) concerned the influencing tactics of directors. He completed the Harvard Business School OPM Program in 1985.
